To encourage the efforts of the Entrepreneurs, the Government of TamilNadu is giving awards to the best performing Enterprises at the State/ District Level and also Awards to Bankers which give credit to the Micro Industries in the State.

The winners of the awards shall have the privilege of allowing their employees to wear labels, pins, ties, logo or other distinctive badges with the symbol of the Awards indicating the year of Award inscribed on it. The entrepreneurs can also use the symbol on their letter heads or any advertisement issued along with the year of the award.

The MSMEs should have been in continuous manufacturing for last 3 years. The awards will be given for each year to deserving Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises which have Udyog Aadhaar Memorandum ( UAM).

For purposes of selecting MSME for consideration for awards, the following procedure will be observed. 1. The selection committee at the Directorate level will scrutinized the award applications and award marks based on the information furnished by the Enterprises which were duly recommended by the respective General Manager, District Industries Centres of the concerned districts. 2. Based on the marks given by the selection committee at the Directorate level, a List will be prepared for all categories. 3. The list will be scrutinized by state level selection committee and award winners will be selected by state level selection committee.
